In March this year, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, ZTE introduced Nubia Neovision Glass augmented reality glasses, which are equipped with Micro-OLED displays – they offer Full HD 1080p resolution for each eye. Glasses are now available in many countries around the world.
The model is able to create a virtual image in front of the eyes, which corresponds to a 120-inch display. The specified brightness of the novelty is 1200 cd/m2The viewing angle is 43°. Importantly, the model offers a myopia adjustment of 0-500°, which can be useful for people who wear medical glasses. It is worth noting that the glasses weigh only 79 g, which is quite comparable to ordinary glasses, although visually the model is still slightly different from the classic options. However, it is certainly much lighter and more compact than other AR headsets. At the same time, high-quality Hi-Res Audio sound is maintained thanks to the omnidirectional speakers integrated into the temples.
The disadvantage of the model is a continuation of its advantages – Neovision Glass does not have its own processing power and only provides connection to external devices – smartphones, tablets, laptops, game consoles and even drones. In fact, this is a portable screen.
Neovision Glass costs $529, €549 or £479 depending on region already available in the EU, UK, Middle East, Asia Pacific and South Africa.
