One of the users of the Chinese forum Baidu released a photo of the flagship graphics accelerator GeForce RTX 4090 in the Zotac version. The non-reference graphics card AMP Extreme AIRO received a completely new cooling system. In addition to a photo of the graphics card, the user also posted a photo of the accelerator’s new packaging.
The Zotac card gets a massive cooling system with three fans and at least three thick expansion slots. The photo shows that the dimensions of the accelerator’s cooling system exceed the size of the graphics card’s circuit board itself by about a third.
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to view the novelty from all sides. Only the back was included in the photo (except for the picture on the box). It is not clear from the available photo how many connectors for additional power the accelerator received. It should be noted, however, that there is enough space in its intended place to install two new 12+4-pin 12VHPWR power connectors of the PCIe 5.0 standard.
The photo of the accelerator packaging also confirms the use of a new font to designate the GeForce RTX 40 series models. So a photo of the reference version of the GeForce RTX 4080 that previously landed on the web could be real.
According to unconfirmed reports, the GeForce RTX 4090 is based on the AD102 GPU, which has 16,384 CUDA cores. The card gets 24 GB of GDDR6X memory and a TDP of 450 watts. It is very likely that NVIDIA will present a new product on September 20 as part of the GTC conference.
