YouTube has announced the launch of a new mobile application called YouTube Create that allows you to edit videos directly on your smartphone. The product aims to encourage people to create more short-form videos on Shorts, the YouTube equivalent of TikTok.
It’s generally easier to create a video on TikTok than on YouTube, which is one of the main reasons for the service’s increasing popularity. The launch of a separate mobile application for simple video editing follows the strategy of TikTok, which previously released the CapCut application, which helps create videos for subsequent uploading to the service. It is clear that the Google-owned service wants to increase competition with TikTok and other similar platforms with the launch of YouTube Create.
“The app offers video editing tools including cropping, automatic captions, voice-over features and access to a library of filters, effects, transitions and royalty-free music with beat-matching technology, allowing creators to create new YouTube videos without complex usage. “Editing software.”says the description of the new product on the YouTube blog.
The beta version of the YouTube Create app for Android devices will soon be available in the US, UK, Germany, France, Indonesia, India, South Korea and Singapore. An iOS version of the app will be available next year.
