YouTube has announced new tools for working with business partners

Neal Mohan, YouTube’s Chief Product Officer, announced the new features video hosting partners will have this year on the company blog. Additional features are expected to open up new revenue opportunities for leading brands and advertisers, as well as publishers of games, music and other content.

It is claimed that one of the most awaited in the business world will be the ability to buy goods directly from the YouTube interface using the shopping feature and its variations. The company is considering the possibility of showing videos with the possibility to buy – users can buy goods marked by the authors of the content.

Another important feature will be the possibility of “interactive” shopping – viewers will be able to interact with content creators as they introduce new products, present exclusive offers and discuss their latest purchases.

Last November, YouTube hosted the Holiday Stream and Shop event, with popular vloggers and established brands like Walmart, Samsung, and Verizon handing out all kinds of merchandise throughout the week. In total, the event received more than 2 million views and 1.4 million live chat messages. In 2022, YouTube intends to expand this practice even further and make it more accessible.
