Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 features a number of notable oddities and references. For example, in a fantasy role-playing game, there is hidden dialogue from one of the characters who suddenly realizes that they are in a video game.

We’re talking about the fiery warrior Karlah from the Tiefling race. Everything starts harmlessly: the heroine invites the player character to test a kind of lie detector on him – a special technique that the priests of Zariel taught her.
Before it even begins, the interrogation turns into a heart-to-heart conversation, not with the player’s character, but with himself, sitting on the other side of the screen. Karlach speaks directly to the player and tells him about the visions “Great web”.
“Cutting lines – variations – and then chaos. And then the hand that decides: yes or no. But she hardly knows it herself… I’m locked here, forever. Hundreds of hours and more or less have passed in these intersecting lines.says Karlach.
The Warrior asks the user how Baldur’s Gate 3 will end, if they have played it before and most importantly if they enjoy playing it: “You’re having fun, aren’t you?”. The answer may be different.
The fourth wall breaking dialogue (including all of its variations) was shown by the Chubblot data miner. According to Samantha Béart, Karlach’s voice actress, the scene currently in the game, but honestly hasn’t been found yet.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is already available for PC (Steam, GOG) and PS5 and is scheduled to appear on Xbox Series X and S by the end of November. The game is receiving a third major patch 21st September – it will include support for macOS, among other things.
