According to Neumann, he brought the debut demo of Microsoft Flight Simulator to Microsoft headquarters in Seattle. The presentation involved flying over the same building in-game.

“I flew over the Microsoft campus — the very building where we sat and talked — and [Спенсер] like “Why are you showing me the Seattle video?” Then I realized he was on my hook”remembers Neuman.

Spencer didn’t believe the developer: “Then I’ll tell him [игра работает] in real time, and he replied, “Yes, that can’t be.” We had something special on our hands. The guys in the room weren’t into Sims, but everyone was excited.”.

Microsoft Flight Simulator debuted in August 2020 to critical acclaim. According to Neumann, the success of the game is partly due to the detailed simulation of the earth.

“When we graduated [среди покупателей] There were those who didn’t really like or respect planes but were enthralled with the planet itself. This is a killer feature. It was she who attracted new people.”explained Neuman.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is available for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass (PC and Xbox). Last week received the game Big update in honor of the 40th anniversary of the series with additional content.
