The Chinese company Xiaomi, according to network sources, will soon announce a tablet computer under the Redmi brand. Information about the characteristics of the gadget has already appeared on the websites of some regulatory bodies, in particular the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
It is claimed that the novelty will receive a 10.61-inch 2K display with a resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In the front part there will be a 5-megapixel camera, and a sensor with 8 million pixels will serve as the basis for the rear camera.
The tablet is said to be able to work in 5G mobile networks. The “heart” can be a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is powered by a 7800mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
Among other things, stereo speakers and a WLAN 802.11ac WLAN adapter are mentioned. The gadget comes with the Android 12 operating system complemented by a proprietary add-on MIUI 13. The price is expected to be around $220.
According to IDC estimates, around 40.5 million tablets were sold worldwide in the second quarter of this year. For comparison: a year earlier it was 40.4 million units.
