Xiaomi introduced the Smart Band 8 fitness bracelet to the international market, which debuted in China in April this year. The portable device takes the form of an oval tablet with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 490 × 192 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a peak brightness of 600 nits2Always-On Display (AOD) support and a choice of over 200 customizable watch faces.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 allows you to track your heart rate, blood oxygen level and stress level, as well as determine your sleep quality and VO indicator2 Max (maximum oxygen consumption) and also track your menstrual cycle.
In addition, a fitness bracelet allows you to measure your physical activity level on a 100-point scale for 7 days. Smart Band 8 supports more than 150 sports modes, from running and swimming to yoga and dancing, and provides information on exercise performance, such as running – distance, speed and duration of the race, heart rate, etc. The smart band has a water resistance rating of 5 ATM, so you can take it with you to outdoor training and swimming lessons in any weather.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 also has built-in games such as Sudoku and 2048, as well as additional functions – notifications, weather forecast. The battery life of the smart bracelet is up to 16 days without charging with AOD disabled and up to 6 days with AOD enabled. Charging the battery takes approximately 60 minutes.
Smart Band 8 offers multiple options for leather straps, nylon fabric straps in various styles, and metal straps. There’s also a clasp that lets you use the wearable as a hanging accessory, and a clip that lets you attach the Smart Band 8 to your shoes for more precise tracking and position monitoring.
