Visually, the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT of the Speedster MERC and Speedster QICK series are very similar. They are equipped with three-fan cooling systems, each with 13 blades. Both series offer a dual BIOS system.

The most noticeable external difference between the XFX MERC and QICK graphics cards is the design of the rear reinforcement plates. The first has a ribbed surface, the second is flat. In addition, the MERC graphics card series has a backlight. QICK has no backlight.

The manufacturer presented three models of graphics cards:

  • XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT QICK 319 Core Edition (RX-78TQICKF9);
  • XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT MERC 319 Black Edition (RX-78TMERCB9);
  • XFX Radeon RX 7700XT QICK 319 Black Edition (RX-77TQICKB9).

Unfortunately, the company did not provide detailed technical specifications about the new products and did not provide any information about the frequencies of its graphics processors. The thickness of the QICK models is 2.5 expansion slots. The MERC version is a bit thicker – 2.75 expansion slots. The manufacturer also confirmed that the cooling system of the MERC graphics card has an evaporation chamber.

Keep in mind that the Radeon RX 7800 XT GPU got 60 execution units. The card has 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with 256-bit bus support. In turn, the GPU of the Radeon RX 7700 XT model received 54 execution units, the card is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 192-bit bus.

Both XFX graphics card series will go on sale on September 6th. The Radeon RX 7800 XT QICK 319 Core Edition and Radeon RX 7700 XT QICK 319 Black Edition models are expected to be available at MSRPs of $499 and $449, respectively. The Radeon RX 7800 XT MERC 319 model, on the other hand, will be slightly more expensive.
