CEO of Meta✴ Mark Zuckerberg announced the imminent availability of a feature to switch between two WhatsApp accounts on one device. This innovation may be relevant for those who use different accounts for business and personal correspondence. The feature will be available to Android smartphone users in the coming weeks.
Previously, to use two accounts, users either had to constantly log out of one account and log in to another or use an additional device. Now this process is significantly simplified.
To use a second account, you must undergo verification and receive a one-time password via SMS. After that, the messenger will continue to work with both accounts without the need for a second device or SIM card, confirmed WhatsApp representative Ellie Heatrick.
This innovation is part of Meta’s strategy✴ to improve access to WhatsApp accounts from different devices. In 2021, a feature was introduced that allows you to use your account on Android tablets, browsers and computers. Recently, WhatsApp functionality was expanded to allow the account to be used on additional smartphones, removing the restriction on using an account on just one phone.
