Sequential read and write speeds of up to 7300 and 5100 MB/s have been announced for the new WD_Black SN850X. The novelty is equipped with a PCIe 4.0 interface and is available in sizes of 1, 2 and 4 TB. Drives in this series come with both aluminum and thin graphene radiators. Optionally, the 1 TB and 2 TB models are equipped with an RGB-illuminated heat sink.

WD_Black SN850X drives start at $190 for the Junior model. They are scheduled to go on sale in July. All models are compatible not only with PC but also with PlayStation 5 game consoles.

The external WD_Black P40 Game Drive SSD offers read speeds of up to 2000 MB/s. It will be available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB versions. Their cost starts at $120 for the junior version. Will be on sale in the summer. These drives feature RGB lighting controlled by the proprietary WD_BLACK Dashboard software (Windows only).

Unfortunately, the company does not give the full technical specifications of the presented SSDs. They promise to release them later.
