Western Digital has announced another PS5 SSD, the WD Black SN850P. The novelty is offered in three versions: with a volume of 1, 2 and 4 TB and has read/write speeds of 7300 MB/s and 6600 MB/s, respectively. However, its cost can hardly be described as humane.

Like previous drives from this company, the WD Black SN850P for PS5 is an officially licensed product for the PlayStation and comes with three variants to choose from: a 1TB model costs $159, a 2TB model costs $249 dollars and the largest 4TB model is priced at $549. All WD Black SN850P models come preinstalled with the correct form factor heatsink, eliminating the need for purchase and installation separated him.
Compared to its predecessor, the WD Black SN850P has faster read and write speeds. The sequential read speed of the SN850P is around 7300MB/s and the sequential write speed is 6600MB/s. Either way, this is a definite improvement over the regular SN850.
WD Black has been paying a lot of attention to console storage lately. Affordable variants of the WD Black C50 memory card for the Xbox Series X|S have recently been released.
