“We waited 20 years, let’s wait a couple more months”: the release of Homeworld 3 was postponed again

Before players could get enough of the release of the Homeworld 3 demo, developers from the Canadian studio Blackbird Interactive (Hardspace: Shipbreaker) upset them again news about the next postponement of the ambitious space strategy.

Let us remind you that Homeworld 3 was expected to be released at the end of 2022, but the premiere was first postponed to the first half of 2023, then to February 2024and until recently the release was expected on March 8, 2024.

As it became known, Homeworld 3 will go on sale two months later than expected – May 13, 2024. Early access for those who pre-ordered the Fleet Command edition is therefore moving to May 10th. The game will be released on Steam And EGS.

The extra time will allow the developers to put the finishing touches on it and ensure that Homeworld 3 meets the team’s level of quality that fans deserve.

The next transfer was the result of two factors: firstly, user feedback about the mentioned demo, and, secondly, feedback from the recently formed testing team for the full game.

Finally, the developers thanked the waiting fans: “To say that you, the player community, have been patiently waiting for the next installment would be an understatement, and for that we are deeply grateful.”.

In the comments to the announcement (at least in X) fans agree that against the backdrop of two decades of anticipation, the new delay looks insignificant. “We have waited 20 years, let’s wait a couple more months”believes Amarhaak.
