“We still have to wait a little bit”: FromSoftware compared Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree with The Old Hunters add-on to Bloodborne

Fans are so desperate for news about the Shadow of the Earthtree expansion to Elden Ring started to see Hints of an imminent release can be found in behind-the-scenes updates to the main game. However, the addon does not seem to be ready for the premiere yet.

According to Kitao, FromSoftware has not changed its development approach – “Work hard to create something interesting and valuable”. The manager was also surprised by the size of the audience: “There are no other words than gratitude”.

As far as Shadow of the Erdtree is concerned, fans still have to be patient: “We still have to wait a little bit, but development is progressing well. After [дополнением к] Bloodborne, in [Shadow of the Erdtree] there will be new battles and characters”.

Less than a year after release, Bloodborne received The Old Hunters add-on – it included several new locations and bosses. Considered one of the best add-ons in FromSoftware history.

Shadow of the Erdtree is expected to be released on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S in April 2024 at the earliest. Elden Ring sales, meanwhile, reached 20 million copies by March 2023.
