“We really want a remake like this”: Red Dead Redemption fan trailer for Unreal Engine 5

A more than two-minute video released by TeaserPlay shows the game world built on Epic Games’ current platform. Lighting, view distance, texture quality, revised flora and fauna models – everything is done on a completely different level. Particular attention was paid in the video to demonstrate the faces of key Red Dead Redemption characters, the level of detail of which evokes lingering associations with Red Dead Redemption 2.

Creativity TeaserPlay has traditionally been received very positively by the community. In the comments below the video, viewers shared why they fell in love with the Red Dead Redemption dilogy. In some cases, users expressed a desire to see a remake of the first part of the Sequel engine – so at the time of its release, RDR 2 was ahead of its time.

Here are just some of the user reviews below the TeaserPlay video:

  • “And now I’m sad… We really want a remake like that…” Oh is sad.
  • “We need Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 remakes. Both would look amazing on the GTA 5 engine.”suggested Darin Watts.
  • “If they did THIS with the GTA trilogy, they wouldn’t get bad reviews”— Bolt Thunder stated with confidence.
  • “All good, but I would think ten times about a reboot of the RDR 2 engine”– Guzman Velázquez Julio Cesar.

Red Dead Redemption debuted on PS3 and Xbox 360 in May 2010 and has sold over 15 million copies since launch.
