Vivo X90 and X90 Pro introduced – more affordable flagships with Dimensity 9200, 120W charging and prices starting at $520

Vivo has officially unveiled the new X series flagship smartphones, which have been significantly improved over the previous generation models. Along with the flagship Vivo X90 Pro+, the more affordable Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro were presented to the general public, each receiving a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor, as well as support for fast charging up to 120W, which is more than the flagship.

Vivo X90 and X90 Pro are equipped with the same 6.78-inch side-curved AMOLED displays with support for a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels (corresponding to the QHD+ format) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A panel with a peak brightness of 1300 cd/m² is used. Both smartphones are equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera that supports 4K video at 30 frames per second.

The main camera of the X90 is based on a 50 megapixel Sony IMX866 sensor with support for optical stabilization. It is complemented by a 12MP ultra wide-angle module and a 12MP telephoto module with 2x optical zoom.

The main camera on the Vivo X90 Pro is based on a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor, complemented by f/1.75 aperture optics – the same combination is used on the older X90 Pro+. There is also a 50 MP telephoto lens and a 12 MP ultra wide-angle module. Vivo’s new smartphones use their own V2 ISP chip to improve image quality and improve performance when shooting in low light.

The hardware basis of the X90 and X90 Pro is the eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 9200 microprocessor, which is manufactured using 4 nm process technology. The configuration is complemented by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 128, 256 or 512 GB drive in UFS 4.0 format. The Vivo X90 uses a 4810mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. The Vivo X90 Pro is powered by a 4870mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Both devices run Android 13 and will be available in China on December 6th in different body colors. The Vivo X90 with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM costs $520, and the variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM costs $700. The more powerful Vivo X90 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM will be available for $700, while the variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM will cost $840.
