Vivo shared 2021 results: the company entered new markets and formed important partnerships

The Chinese company Vivo has taken stock of the year 2021. The company claims that the last year has been a milestone for it with the launch of new smartphone models and advanced imaging solutions. Vivo has entered six new markets and is consistently in the top three in its key regions. In addition, the company sponsored a number of international sporting events throughout the year.

In 2021, Vivo has entered markets such as Peru, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, Serbia and Mexico and plans to continue the expansion trend this year. Vivo maintained its growth momentum throughout 2021, ranking fourth in the global smartphone market for the third quarter, according to analyst firm Gartner. The company remains in the top 3 in its key markets including the Philippines, Malaysia and India.

As part of the strategy to localize the launch of branded appliances, the company has set up seven manufacturing bases in China, South and Southeast Asia and other regions. Thanks to this, Vivo annually produces about 200 million smartphones. In addition, there are currently more than 380,000 Authorized Warranty Service Centers and Vivo Points of Sale worldwide.



In 2021, Vivo entered into a long-term cooperation agreement with ZEISS, a leader in the field of optoelectronics, and introduced advanced image capture technologies into its flagship smartphones. The first device Vivo collaborated with ZEISS on was the flagship X60, which debuted in early 2021.

In 2021, Vivo introduced its first V1 image processor, which debuted in the X70 series of smartphones in September. In addition, all devices in the X70 series received optics from ZEISS. Vivo V21 smartphones set a new standard for selfie cameras and add optical stabilization to the front camera.

In 2021, Vivo partnered with a number of international organizations to support sporting events and other projects. The company entered into a long-term partnership with UEFA and acted as the exclusive sponsor of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021.

One of the highlights for Vivo in 2021 was the VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards 2021, launched in partnership with National Geographic. More than 384,000 works from more than 40 countries around the world were submitted to the competition.
