Vivo introduces Y55 5G smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip and 5000 mAh battery

Last month, Vivo introduced the Y55s 5G smartphone, the company’s first 6000mA device.·h battery. Now the base Y55 has seen the light of day, which shares similar specs and design, but differs with a smaller 5000mAh battery.

The Vivo Y55 is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. The processor works together with 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with UFS 2.1 memory, the capacity of which is 128 GB. The display of the novelty is represented by a 6.58-inch IPS matrix with Full HD + resolution. The waterdrop notch at the top of the screen houses the 8-megapixel front camera. The rear camera combines the 50-megapixel main sensor, the 2-megapixel macro module and the 2-megapixel depth sensor. The new 5000mAh battery supports 18W fast charging. A USB Type-C connector is used to charge energy and exchange data with a computer.
