The Chinese company Vivo has published official images of the X-Fold smartphone. Manufactured on the Qualcomm platform, this device will be unveiled on April 11th.
The X Fold is Vivo’s first smartphone with a flexible display. The device is equipped with a 2K+ AMOLED E5 screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This panel folds into the case, protecting it from damage when carried.
The novelty received a complex hinge mechanism, which makes it possible to fold the halves of the body without a gap. On the outside is a 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays are equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
The “heart” of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which contains eight cores with a clock speed of up to 3.0 GHz. The amount of RAM is 12 GB. Versions with a flash drive with a capacity of 256 and 512 GB will go on sale.
The images show a quadruple main camera created in collaboration with Zeiss specialists. It combines a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel module with 2x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel periscope module.
