Publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montreal have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction dedicated to the Whirlwind Protocol. This is a ranked mode with weekly challenges for the later stages of the game.
The developers assure that as part of the Whirlwind Protocol mode, players will have to complete three times as many tasks and the local difficulty will increase “literally at every step”. Usually, the user receives a series of a maximum of three tasks, but in Whirlwind it is nine.
After every 3 objectives completed, the level of difficulty increases and the number of available points where you can replenish supplies gradually decreases. There is also less time to complete tasks.
In such a raid it is better to choose agents of the highest level, or, as the authors say, “just really, really good to play”. Completing challenges will reward you with tons of EXP and REACT credits, not to mention exclusive customization items.
In Whirlwind Protocol, the player has only six operators to choose from. If your favorite fighter isn’t on the list then then “have to adapt”. And if in this mode an agent goes missing during an unsuccessful mission, you need to organize a rescue operation in the main version of the game. The quests, Archaean mutations, and roster of agents under the Whirlwind Protocol change every week.
Rainbow Six Extraction will be available on January 20th this year for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.
