As promised, on September 30, Polish studio Techland hosted the fourth episode of its Dying 2 Know news show about the upcoming open-world zombie action Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
The first theme of the release was the open world. The events of Dying Light 2 Stay Human unfold on the territory and in the vicinity of the City, battered by a pandemic and apocalypse.
In the City, players will meet locals (they can learn more about the world), colorful characters (for example, the inventor of the dating app or an opera singer) and testimonies of the past (newspapers, tapes, recordings of the mayor’s speeches).
The developers also talked about the possibility of influencing the appearance of the City: repairing one of the abandoned power plants or joining one or another faction. The survivors will build a school on the roof, and the peacekeepers will build an outpost.
From the actions and progress of the hero along the plot, the music will also change (at a certain stage, the orchestra is connected). The soundtrack in Dying Light 2 Stay Human is dynamic and adjusts to the environment, groupings, enemies and gameplay.
It also became known that the actress Rosario Dawson (Rosario Dawson) will play Laban – a strong woman with a difficult past, a desire to take revenge on her offenders and “An important role in the plot”… The heroine will change depending on the decisions of the player.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human will go on sale on February 4, 2022 for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. At launch, the PC version will add support for ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS.
