Frontier Foundry (owned by Frontier Developments), with the support of Complex Games and Games Workshop, has released a new release of development diaries for the turn-based tactical RPG Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters.
In this video, the creators of the game talk about the layered design of missions, which will force users to constantly improve their strategies. But the fight against the intergalactic space infection Bloom (“Dawn”) is the key topic of the new diary.
The developers told how, under the influence of infection, the forces of Nurgle mutate, forcing players to constantly improve their strategies. Throughout the story campaign, Bloom will evolve, acquiring unique strains. The longer the main character allows corruption to poison the planet, the more dangerous missions will become under its influence.
The authors also talked about the unique challenges that await players at each meeting with the bosses. It was about huge high demons and cunning demonic princes, who can only be defeated in their own realms, hidden between reality and the warp.
The latest video ends with the introduction of the sinister figure behind the Bloom invasion. Fans of the universe are familiar with this character. His name is Mortarion – Prince of Decay and Primarch of the Death Guard.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is coming to PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) in 2022.
