The South Korean publisher Kakao Games and developer of his studio XLGAMES as part of the G-STAR 2022 exhibition submitted the debut trailer and new details of their multiplayer action role-playing game ArcheAge 2.
The fact that ArcheAge 2 is in development on Unreal Engine 5 is still in 2020 according to executive producer Jake Song. However, to date, the project has not received a single presentation.
The debut trailer for ArcheAge 2 (separate from the interview with Song, can be viewed at IGN channel) lasts a minute and a half and, in addition to fantasy landscapes, demonstrates gameplay fragments with action shots full of special effects.
ArcheAge 2 will take place in the familiar world of Auroria in the time when humans first discovered and began to inhabit it. The plot tells about the unveiling of the mysteries of an ancient civilization that was forgotten thousands of years ago.
ArcheAge 2 will feature a seamless open world, dynamic battles, an immersive narrative component, a non-linear progression system, and advanced graphics thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
In an interview at the premiere of the trailer, Song also said that ArcheAge 2 will improve the systems of trade routes and house building known from the first game (it will be possible to build entire settlements).
Corresponding September tweet ArcheAge 2 is not expected to launch until 2024. The game is being made for PC and unnamed consoles – probably the current generation at least.
