French studio Asobo released The tenth free update in the World Update series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The US Territory Improvement Patch is now available for PC, Xbox Series X and S.

The trailer for the update was revealed during the Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks spin-off show. The video features views of Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Disney World Park in Florida, Yellowstone National Park, the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia, the State Reserve with the Devil’s Tower Natural Landmark in Wyoming, and other famous places in the US.
Mainly innovations and changes:
- new photogrammetry based on high-resolution satellite and aerial imagery for 12 cities: San Diego, Albany, Key Largo, Seattle, Eugene, Arlington, Boise, Charleston (West Virginia), Disney World – Kissimmee – Windermere, Lansing, Lynchburg and Olympia;
- four handcrafted airports by Gaya Simulations: Catalina on the island of the same name in California, Valdez in Alaska, Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada, and Block Island on the east coast of Rhode Island;
- 87 attractions including the Delaware Memorial Bridge, Arecibo Telescope (Puerto Rico), Noah’s Ark in Williamstown, Amusement Park Kentucky, Split Rock Lighthouse (Minnesota), Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina, Will’s Sun Temple Observation Tower Rogers” (Colorado) and Bok Tower Gardens (Florida).
- three professional flights: Appalachia, California and metropolitan areas;
- three scenic flights: Grand Canyon, Seattle and St. Louis;
- three landing tests: Incom, Atlanta and Telluride.
To install World Update X, you need version 1.26.5.0 of the game.
As always went on sale at the same time new vehicle from the Local Legends series. The Beechcraft Model 18 (aka Twin Beech or Beech 18) twin-engine low-wing monoplane, used since 1937 for passenger and cargo transport, scientific research, firefighting, and mapping, is available from the in-game store for $15.
The previous update of this series, released in May, was dedicated to Italy and Malta. March improved Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar while February improved Australia. Eleventh world update whose content has not yet been announced, expected End of September.
During the main presentation of Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, the creators showed the trailer for the update dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the series. It will include airports and aircraft from other parts of the franchise, as well as helicopters, gliders and an Airbus airliner. The authors also added the pelican from Halo Infinite to the simulator.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on Xbox Game Pass (PC, Xbox Series X and S) and Xbox Cloud Gaming (including Xbox One, mobile platforms and low-end PCs).
