The released video lasts two and a half minutes and is dedicated to one of the main innovations of F1 22, which didn’t find a place in the recent trailer for the main features of the game – the VR mode.
Canadian Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll manages to complete a lap and a half for the allotted time around the home track in his Aston Martin AMR22, losing several positions to his rivals.
What happens is shown in VR mode. Claustrophobia from sitting in a cramped cockpit, fireballs rushing by at breakneck speed – according to the developers, his game version has never been closer to the real Formula 1.
F1 22 will go on sale on July 1st for PC (Steam, Origin, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, but the Champions Edition includes early access to the game starting July 28th June. VR support is exclusive to the PC version.
