YouTube channel author Digital Dreams regularly demonstrates how well-known games can be improved with mods, high definition and flagship components. Sometimes the results are quite impressive, as evidenced by the transformation of the action RPG enthusiast The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. And recently, Digital Dreams made it to Cyberpunk 2077 and was able to significantly improve the visuals of the latest action RPG from CD Projekt RED.
The blogger set 4K resolution and installed more than 50 modifications to “pump” the game. What kind of fan projects were used, Digital Dreams did not indicate, but from the video it is noticeable that the mods helped to improve weather effects and shadows, increase the drawing distance, add realistic clouds, implement high-resolution textures for individual objects and change the lighting. The latter made Cyberpunk 2077 more down-to-earth, which is especially noticeable in the morning.
Digital Dreams has included ray tracing as well. Thanks to this technology, reflections on mirrored surfaces are noticeable in the video, and the light is correctly diffused around the source.
The enthusiast’s PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor, 32 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card. These specifications, coupled with the enabled NVIDIA DLSS smart scaling technology, provided sufficient performance: there are no fragments with noticeable frame rate drops in the video.
