Blizzard Entertainment announced Kiriko, a support hero appearing in Overwatch 2, during Microsoft’s presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2022. The announcement itself was accompanied by a gameplay trailer.
Kiriko’s abilities and appearance are influenced by Japanese culture. The heroine is skilled in melee combat, uses cold weapons as intended, teleports, refills the health of allies with sigils, and summons spectral torii.
In the video, the girl was accompanied by the spirit of the fox, which she knows how to summon on the battlefield. The spirit speeds up movement and skill recovery, and also increases the attack not only of the heroine, but also of all players who followed her.
Recall that late last week an unfinished story trailer for a new character from Overwatch 2 hit the internet. A YouTube user using the pseudonym Kuriboh posted an unfinished Spanish version of an unannounced character’s movie video.
Overwatch 2 Early Access launches October 4th on PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
