Victorian stealth shooter Gloomwood is on the mend and preparing to ramp up the difficulty levels

Developers David Szymanski and Dillon Rogers said about early achievements, a fresh update, and plans to continue developing their Victorian stealth shooter Gloomwood in the spirit of Thief.

Patch v0.1.217 makes adjustments to the overall balance of Gloomwood, Full Moon difficulty, some enemies and levels, also fixes a number of bugs and introduces an armored variant of the existing enemy (Hunter).

In addition, the developers plan to add Blood Moon (stronger enemies, more alert AI, limited saves), Crescent Moon (with fast saves), and Sleepwalking (custom) difficulty modes.

As for early success, Gloomwood managed to become New Blood Interactive’s fastest-selling game in its short stint so far in Early Access, ahead of Dusk (the developers’ last project), Amid Evil, and Ultrakill.

Gloomwood Early Access launches September 6th on PCsteam). The user rating of the stealth shooter on the Valve service has reached 93%. Profile portals are also reacting positively to the novelty.
