Valve has announced an early end to Steam Deck pre-order emails for delivery in Q3. The company now plans to send out emails to customers whose consoles should be shipping for the rest of the year. The corresponding message was released on the Steam page.
Earlier it was reported that Valve managed to significantly increase the production of its portable game console. Now it is evident that the manufacturer takes its commitments seriously and Steam Deck buyers will most likely be able to get the console within the previously stated timeframe. At the same time, the company has opened several service centers to which users can turn in case of technical problems when interacting with the console.
As a reminder, the Steam Deck console is a portable device with a 7-inch touchscreen that supports a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The controls of the device are located on the sides of the display. The console is based on an AMD processor with four cores Zen 2 to 3.5 GHz and eight graphics cores RDNA 2. The configuration is complemented by 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and an SSD with a capacity of up to 512 GB. A 40 Wh battery ensures autonomous operation.
