Valheim writers don’t plan on releasing the game on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, ‘but you never know in advance’

Iron Gate Studios has announced that there are currently no plans to develop Valheim for the PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. As senior team member Jonathan Smars revealed on the Xbox Expansion Pass Podcast, the studio is currently only working on the Xbox version.

Literally he said the following: “Currently we only look at Xbox, but you never know in advance”. With this, Smars gave PlayStation and Nintendo Switch owners hope that Iron Gate Studio will look to other platforms after the Xbox version.

The last major update added the Mistylands, nine creatures, a boss, over twenty materials, and twenty-four crafting items to Valheim. In the next major update, the developers plan to add the Dusty Lands location. But it is not yet known when it will be released.

Valheim is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. The game is available with a Game Pass subscription. The console version of Valheim offers the same gameplay as the PC version and also supports cross-platform multiplayer.
