Gigabyte Technology presented Aorus branded gaming notebooks at CES 2022, with Aorus 5, Aorus 15 and Aorus 17 making their debut.
All models are based on the Intel Alder Lake hardware platform. The Core i7-12700H processor is used, which comprises 14 cores with the ability to process up to 20 instruction streams. The clock ranges from 2.3 to 4.7 GHz.
The Aorus 5 model is equipped with a 15.6 inch full HD display (1920 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 144 or 240 Hz. The maximum configuration includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics accelerator with 8 GB of RAM. Supports DDR4-3200 RAM.
The Aorus 15 version is also equipped with a 15.6-inch screen, but options with a Full HD panel with a refresh rate of 360 Hz and QHD (2560 × 1440 pixels) with a refresh rate of 165 Hz are possible. It is allowed to install the graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 16 GB memory.
Finally, the Aorus 17 laptop got a 17.3-inch Full HD display with a refresh rate of 360 Hz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti accelerator with 16 GB of storage. The two older models support DDR5-4800 RAM.
All innovations can be equipped with two M.2 solid-state drives. Features include Intel Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless adapter, a backlit keyboard and the DTS sound audio system.
