UK charts: The Switch version of Minecraft takes the lead as Super Mario Party climbs into the top 3

As it became known, the most popular project last week was the release of Minecraft block sandbox for Nintendo Switch – its sales increased by 112% during the reporting period.

Second place, like the two previous times, was taken by the football simulator FIFA 22, and thanks to retail discounts, the Super Mario Party mini-game collection (+386%) rose from 29th place to third place.

Various store promotions also helped action role-playing game Minecraft Dungeons (7th place, +387%) and minigame collection WarioWare: Get it Together (12th place, +465%) back from outside the top 40.

Overall, UK retail game sales fell 26% over the week. The industry is gearing up for the first major releases of 2022, including Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Rainbow Six Extraction.
