Portal of the game industry shared information on the sale of retail editions of games in the United Kingdom for the period 5th to 11th June of the current year. The week was marked by two notable releases.
The main bestseller was the debutant of the period – football action Mario Strikers: Battle League Football. The game started 20% weaker than Mario Golf: Super Rush and 6% weaker than Mario Tennis Aces (despite Britain’s love of football).
The second release of the week, teen horror The Quarry, took fourth place. Approximately 85% of UK retail copies sold were on the PlayStation console.
Thanks to additional shipments to the region, Kirby and The Forgotten Land (+91% weekly sales) and the aforementioned Mario Golf: Super Rush (+291%) improved their positions in the ranking, while Sniper Elite 5 (-44%) fell out of ten .
