Ubisoft has dropped Tom Clancy’s from the title of shareware shooter XDefiant. Now it’s not directly related to the Tom Clancy universe. This became known through a new closed test as part of the Insider Sessions program.

Invitations to the new XDefiant tests have started receiving users who have registered to participate. At the same time, the session currently only affects the PC version of the game. The upcoming Insider Session Test will include factions from “Games Outside the Tom Clancy’s Universe”. As a result of these changes, Ubisoft has announced that the shooter will now be called XDefiant.
Registration for testing is currently only possible in certain countries: USA, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Denmark , Finland, Norway, Slovakia, Croatia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Andorra and Monaco.
XDefiant is a free-to-play dynamic arena shooter that combines team-based gunplay, loadout customization, and factions. The game will be released without a release date on PC, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
