Ubisoft’s shooter XDefiant was actually supposed to be released in October, but the release has been postponed again – now indefinitely

Until recently, the developers of Ubisoft’s shareware team shooter XDefiant promised to release the game by mid-October at the latest. But without waiting for the deadline, say the authors touched release again.

We would like to remind you that XDefiant was supposed to be released before the end of the summer, but due to a misunderstanding when certifying the game for PlayStation and Xbox consoles at the end of July (more on this in the last post), it was promised to stay until the fall.

However, XDefiant’s public testing in late September revealed some gameplay issues that the developers need to resolve before the start of preseason. In this regard, the launch is postponed indefinitely.

“The team will continue to work on these issues and test solutions to ensure we achieve our goal of delivering the best arcade shooter of its kind.”“, assured the creators of XDefiant.

Barring any unforeseen issues, XDefiant’s test showed Ubisoft what players value “Our fast-paced shooting, uniquely designed maps, mission-driven modes and iconic factions”.

“Thank you again for your support. We work hard to create something truly special and we couldn’t do it without you.”say the XDefiant developers.

XDefiant is being created for PC (Ubisoft Connect), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Amazon Luna. The game features fighters from five factions based on Ubisoft games – Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division, Far Cry 6 and Watch Dogs.
