Ubisoft has commented on the rumors about the remake of the first Assassin’s Creed

Artistic Director of Assassin’s Creed Mirage Jean Luc Sala and executive producer of the franchise Marc-Alexis Côté commented on the rumors about a remake of the first part of the series.

Recall that on the eve of the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Mirage the French blogger j0nathan and Insider ScriptLeaksR6 There have been reports that Ubisoft is planning to update Assassin’s Creed (be it a remake or a remaster).

Speaking to journalists, Sala and Cote independently confirmed that modernizing the original Assassin’s Creed is out of the question: Ubisoft has enough games in development without this project.

“Yes, we don’t do that. I’m totally focused on Mirage and it’s safe to say we’re not doing an AC1 remake.”– said Sala, who is listed in the studio Ubisoft Bordeaux.

After months of rumours, Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Release is expected in 2023 on PC (Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Stadia and Luna services.
