Ubisoft delayed Skull and Bones again and delayed the release of a mysterious ‘big game’ – will Star Wars Outlaws be delayed?

The French publisher Ubisoft was published new financial reportin which he clarified the release dates for projects that are still being prepared for premiere, including a certain one “big game” and the problematic online pirate action game Skull and Bones.

“Big game” already appeared in Ubisoft reports – the project was announced for the current financial year (i.e. until the end of March 2024). It is believed to be the open-world action-adventure game Star Wars Outlaws.

As became known from the new financial report, it will be published immediately “big game” Ubisoft is expected to operate throughout the next fiscal year (i.e. from April 2024 to March 2025).

In May, sources from the Kotaku portal reported that although “Star Wars Outlaws” had been announced for the current fiscal year, it could be postponed until the next due to its ambitious nature. It appears that is exactly what happened.

As for Skull and Bones, after the sixth delay (in January), the release was expected at the beginning of the current fiscal year (i.e. shortly after April 1), but gradually moved towards the end of the fiscal year.

As it turns out, Ubisoft now plans to release Skull and Bones in the fourth quarter of this year, between January 1 and March 31, 2024. The company did not provide any information about the reasons for the time change.

Star Wars Outlaws is officially announced for 2024 and is scheduled to appear on PC (Ubisoft Connect), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Skull and Bones is being created for the same platforms, but will also appear in the Epic Games Store.
