The open-world action-adventure Assassin’s Creed Mirage only launched last week, but publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Bordeaux studio have already done so have something to brag about.
As it became known, Assassin’s Creed Mirage had the best start among the Ubisoft games of the current console generation in terms of the number of copies sold – the company does not provide any information about the number of copies sold.
Ubisoft also reported that Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s audience reach was comparable to Origins and Odyssey. The new product apparently did not reach Valhalla – at the time of release, in terms of the number of players exceeded “Odyssey” twice.
In addition, Ubisoft shared the first week’s stats for Assassin’s Creed Mirage players: players spent a total of 479 years on the rooftops of Baghdad, took 60 million leaps of faith, and petted 1.2 million street cats.
We would like to remind you that the events of Assassin’s Creed Mirage take place 20 years before Valhalla, in Baghdad in the ninth century. Players in the role of the young Basim ibn Ishaq must develop from street thief to master assassin.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is positioned by the developers as a return to the roots in terms of gameplay, map size and length. Not all critics liked this approach.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released on October 5th on PC (EGS, Ubisoft Connect), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and the Luna service. The game features a cat with the “Assassin emblem” on its face and a touching story.
