A two-second gameplay video of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has surfaced on the internet. A figure disguised as an assassin runs through the streets of the city. Despite the video’s meager length, fans of the series have already noticed that the hero’s animation is more reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed Unity than Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Additionally, fans noted the art style of Assassin’s Creed Mirage from the leaked video. In her opinion, light and warm colors are reminiscent of the atmosphere of the old parts of the series. They also appreciated the physics of clothing fabrics and the effect of sand beneath the hero’s feet.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage tells the story of the thief Basim ibn Ishaq, who becomes an assassin and fights against the Knights Templar. The game is set in 9th-century Baghdad, decades before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The project is described as more intimate and closer to the first installments of the series compared to the last few representatives of the franchise.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is expected to be released this year on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
