According to the businessman, the point is to sell access to any material – from long posts to “videos lasting several hours”. To do this, it is suggested to select the “Monetization” item in the “Tools for professionals” subsection of the menu and follow the instructions.

According to Musk, Twitter will not receive any commissions for the next 12 months. “They get the same money as we do, which is 70% on iOS and Android subscriptions (they take a 30% commission) and about 92% on web (maybe more, depending on the payment processor)”.

After the first year, the commission on iOS and Android is reduced to 15%, Twitter wants to add a “small amount” depending on the volume. Musk also pledged to encourage the work of content creators so they can achieve maximum wealth. He added that the blogger can leave the platform at any time and take all the work with him. “Easy in, easy out” concluded the businessman.

However, users have already complained that the new service is not yet available outside the United States, to which the response was – “We’re working on it”. Meanwhile, residents of other regions can see a stub screensaver in the appropriate section.

Recently, the social network is actively looking for ways to make money. In addition to selling subscriptions to its own services and options such as paid verification, in particular, there was information that Twitter will cooperate with the eToro platform to allow users to trade stocks and cryptocurrencies.
