Trump’s own launch of Truth Social postponed to March

According to App Store Apple App Store, the launch of Truth Social, a Twitter clone of former US President Donald Trump, is scheduled for February 21. However, New York Times sources claimthat the event has been postponed to March.

Based on screenshots from the Apple App Store, Truth Social is very similar to Twitter – it was Mr. Trump’s favorite social network until his account was permanently banned following the January 6, 2021 events. The Truth Social project will be his second foray into the new platform, having launched his own blog last May, which shut down less than a month later. The new social network is being developed by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG).

The reasons why the launch of the new social network is delayed are hardly technical – the service is currently in beta testing with 500 volunteers.
