Remember, The Elder Scrolls VI was revealed at E3 2018 and was in pre-production even then. In January 2022, there were signs that development had not yet entered a radically new phase.

According to Howard, the sixth part of Bethesda’s fantasy role-playing game series is actually still in pre-production: the majority of the team is focused on Starfield, which is scheduled for release in early 2023.

Howard also confirmed that a potential Fallout 5 would be the next Bethesda Game Studios project after The Elder Scrolls VI: “We’ll be busy for a while”.

Fallout 4 debuted in November 2015. The next game in the series is still a long way off, but according to Howard from last year’s IGN interview, Bethesda already has ideas (and even wrote a one-page document).
