“This is what remasters should look like”: A demo version of a mod for the first Tomb Raider has been released that adds path tracking to the game

The open beta test of RTX Remix had barely begun when a demo version of the mod for the original Tomb Raider based on the NVIDIA platform was already available for everyone to download.

As the portal noted DSOGamingJanuary 23 on the website ModDB A vertical cut has appeared. Open Lara RTX: Reimagined Realms – a mod of the classic Tomb Raider, thanks to RTX Remix, which adds path tracking to the game.

The first demo of Open Lara RTX: Reimagined Realms was released by its creator, a modder under the pseudonym Dominus Aureate last summerand now anyone can join the project.

The mod is positioned as a reinterpretation of the classic Tomb Raider: dynamic lighting, fascinating reflections and “Transformed into a visual masterpiece” Textures are intended to breathe new life into the legendary adventure.

A comparison with the original game by blogger Cycu1 was in favor of Open Lara RTX: Reimagined Realms. “This is what remasters should look like”says user EC.

Open Lara RTX: Reimagined Realms isn’t the only attempt to improve on the classic Tomb Raider trilogy with RTX Remix. A similar mod for Tomb Raider II is engaged Skurtyyskirts enthusiast.

In the meantime, about the release on PC (steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series You shouldn’t expect similar graphical improvements from them.
