Thermalright has introduced a low-profile cooler made almost entirely of copper, the AXP90-X53. The height of the new product is only 53 mm. Its cooler, heat pipes and contact pad are made of copper. The only steel elements are the fan brackets and the mounting feet.
Although the contact pad of the Thermalright AXP90-X53 cooler looks like pure copper, it has a nickel-plated coating, so even those thermal interfaces that are not compatible with copper can be used with this cooling system. For example liquid metal.
The Thermalright AXP90-X53 features a low-profile fan with a height of 15 mm and a diameter of 92 mm. It operates at speeds of up to 2700 RPM (PWM control supported), produces airflow of up to 42.58 CFM and a static pressure of 1.33 mm of water column. Art. at a noise level of no more than 22.4 dBA.
With the fan installed, the dimensions of the Thermalright AXP90-X53 cooling system are 94.5 × 95 × 53 mm, and the weight is about 600 grams. The new product supports the Intel LGA 1700 and LGA 1200 processor sockets, as well as the AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets.
The manufacturer did not provide any information about the cost of the Thermalright AXP90-X53 cooler. The all-black version of this copper and aluminum cooler costs $60, according to the manufacturer.
