First, the historic action Like a Dragon: Ishin! has received a release date – Yakuza Ishin Remake will be available on February 21, 2023 for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.

It has also been revealed that in addition to the existing characters from the Yakuza series in Ishin! There will be characters and musical compositions from Yakuza 0, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Yakuza: Like a Dragon that were released after the release of the original Ishin.

Secondly, as part of the RGG Summit 2022, the official announcement of Like a Dragon 8 took place – that’s what the new part of Yakuza, the sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will be called in the west.

In addition to the already confirmed Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of Like a Dragon 8 will also be the franchise veteran Kazuma Kiryu. Release is expected in 2024 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.

Third, the twists and turns of Kazuma Kiryu’s fate between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon will be dedicated to an action-adventure (non-RPG) titled Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

Like a Dragon Gaiden will take Kiryu to the events of Like a Dragon 8 and will be about half the size of a full game in the series. The project will be released in 2023 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.
