It became known that the foldable smartphone Mate X3 and the flagships of the P60 series, which were presented by Huawei in China yesterday, will be launched in Europe on May 9th. On the occasion of the launch of new products on the international market, the company organizes an event in Munich (Germany) on this day.
Although the invitation to the press only mentions the P60 Pro smartphone, according to GSMArena.com the event will herald the launch of a range of devices including the Mate X3, the Huawei Watch Ultimate smartwatch and the FreeBuds 5 wireless headphones.
The Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone features a lightweight design, making it 24g lighter than the foldable Galaxy Z Fold4. The smartphone boasts an IPX8 water resistance rating, which until now has only been matched by Samsung gadgets in the foldable market. It’s also the world’s first foldable satellite-enabled smartphone, although this feature will only be available in China due to Beidou-only support.
Huawei Mate X3 is available in China from CNY 12,999 ($1,999), Huawei P60 from CNY 4,488 ($657), Huawei P60 Pro from CNY 6,988 ($1,023), P60 Art from CNY 8,988 ($1,316). How the prices for new goods will differ in Europe will be known on May 9th.
