Recall that the current iteration of The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series was presented at The Game Awards 2019 and was until recently expected to premiere in 2023.

As has been announced, the start of The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series is not planned for 2023. When asked if that meant a 2024 release, a Telltale representative replied answered evasive: The studio is aiming for this period, but cannot guarantee the timing.

According to Telltale Games CEO Jamie Ottilie, the move was a result of The Wolf Among Us 2’s move to Unreal Engine 5, as well as the studio’s desire to avoid rework.

“If we release something unfinished, we’ll be torn to pieces. Expectations are high and we want to have the time to fulfill them and feel proud to know that “this is the best game we could have made””says Ottilie.

The events of The Wolf Among Us 2 unfold in wintry New York six months after the conclusion of the first part. Snow White has become Deputy Mayor of Fabletown and Bigby continues to adjust to the role of protector.

The Wolf Among Us 2 is being made for PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. It was previously reported that the game will be released in episodes (five in total) with a difference of two weeks, but development was completed before the premiere of the first installment.
