The VR mode for the Resident Evil 4 remake will be released next week, but only for PlayStation VR2 – a new trailer and a demo announcement

Japanese publisher and developer Capcom announced the exact release date of the VR mode for Resident Evil 4 – a full-fledged remake of the cult action game of the same name. The announcement was accompanied by a gameplay trailer.

Capcom confirmed that VR content for Resident Evil 4 was in development when the remake was announced, but didn’t fully reveal the mode until shortly before the game’s release. The company did not specify the release date of the update.

It was announced that the VR mode will be released on December 8th for PS VR2 – owners of Resident Evil 4 on PS5 will receive it as a free add-on. The demo version will be released on the same day.

Resident Evil 4’s VR mode allows you to play through the entire main story. They promise a new level of immersion, intuitive controls with unique gestures for reloading different types of weapons, as well as a shooting gallery to hone your skills.

The Resident Evil 4 remake was released on March 24 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S and received a paid add-on, Separate Ways, about the adventures of spy Ada Wong in September. By the end of September, 5.4 million copies of the game had been sold.
