Strategy Analytics has published the results of a study on the global market for processors for smartphones: Despite the difficult economic environment and the shortage of components, the industry showed impressive growth.

Monetary supply volume reached $30.8 billion in 2021. This is almost a quarter – 23% – more than last year’s result.
The biggest player in the industry is Qualcomm with a share of 37.7%. The second and third places are taken by MediaTek and Apple: the first of these companies controls 26.3% of the market, the second – 26.0%. The three leading developers together occupy 90% of the industry.
In fourth place, far behind, is Samsung with 6.6%. Unisoc and HiSilicon follow with 2.5% and 0.8% shares. Another 0.1% of monetary sales come from Google.

It is noted that demand for processors supporting fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications has increased by 84% over the past year. The share of such products made up 46% of the total offer.
Snapdragon 888/888+, 765/G, 750G, 662 and Dimensity 700 are among the most popular chips for Android smartphones.
