It was previously reported that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has had a better start than any other new 2K franchise in recent years, and the project has an audience of 30% of people who have never played Borderlands.

According to Pitchford, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland “to smithereens exceeded all expectations [Gearbox]both in terms of estimates and finances”and was also made for Gearbox Software “great success”.

“We definitely have a new franchise on our hands now, and future projects in it are already being created by Gearbox.”‘ Pitchford outlined the plan for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands as a series.

The developer did not specify whether this is a full-fledged next game in the series or whether Gearbox Software has taken over additional content in addition to the already published Season Pass (including four add-ons).

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands debuted on March 25th this year on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and reached the Steam digital distribution service in June with the release of the Molten Mirrors add-on.
